Cytisus scoparius (Brem).

Cytisus scoparius (Common Broom).
Flowering Common Broom is now the focal point in the garden.
A sunny picture in the pouring rain with hail, the prevailing weather situation these days. Broom grows much along tracks. She likes a sunny and airy place. A broom  shrub usually has a short life and is less resistant to severe frost. It blooms with butterfly shaped flowers. The fruits are tough pods, containing many seeds, so that the plant can quite spread itself.
Medicinal: Broom contain lupinidine, a substance which stimulates heart, circulatory and intestines. Broom can also be used against rheumatic diseases. Tea  may be made of the flowers and young shoots.
HONEY BEES, bumblebees and other insects takes pollen and nectar from the flowers.
